As we try to navigate a world filled with intolerance of others, fueling violence and even hate, is there a way to turn the tide? How do we stem the tide against negativity and discrimination that is so often justified by religious symbolism and language? A modest proposal–understanding and effectively engaging others in that language and with that symbolism could be more effective than you think.
