Join us for our annual improvised service, where many of the service elements will be made up on the spot.  A fun service, where you never know what to expect.  Come for something new and surprising.

How do we put together worship services that speak to our complex spiritual, aesthetic, intellectual, moral, musical selves? Meet our Worship Committee and hear their stories about creating the Beloved Community.

Guest speaker Lorie Miller will tell a children's story from her life experience that is inspirational to people of all ages.  Then her sermon will be based on passages from the book "The Art of Racing in the Rain" from which we will learn how to empower ourselves and live a better life.

We will be celebrating our joyful relationship with words with poetry readings.  Original poems written by Bob Britton, Rene Castle, and Glen Jacob will be read by them.  There will also be poetry readings by Terri Owen and Kirk Smith.

Bob will explore the various meanings of "Family". Is it defined by genealogy, blood or by words such as "marriage", "in laws", "adoption", or something else? What is an "extended family"?

The Worship Committee presents a lay led service, as members tell of important journeys in their lives; from far off locations, to the inner secrets of the heart with Ray Oducayen and Bob Myerson.

 

Rituals give significance to the passage of time and help us to connect and grow as a community. Join us as we celebrate two deeply meaningful rituals in community: The Re-Commitment Ceremony of Rev. Maria Cristina's Installation as our Minister and the Dedication Ceremony of Baby Drake Scott Otermat. Join us!

Fun lay-led service featuring music from the award winning smash hit musical Hamilton. There will be two short sermons by Bob Simoni and Dave Middleton that will give context to the story and attempt to show how the messages of those times can be interpreted through a UU lens.

For Islamic feminists the answer is yes. Join us as we explore Feminist Theology within the context of religious pluralism and Islam in particular.

Amy Beltaine.  May Day is celebrated on May 1st, a time of celebrating Spring and exchanging flowers with neighbors and friends.  In earth-relating and deities-relating cultures of the Northern Hemisphere the themes of fertility, beauty, renewal art and abundance were celebrated in festivals like Walpurgisnacht, Beltane and Floralia.  International Workers day is May 1st as well.  How can we embrace the beauty and emergence around us while remembering the work that we must do?
