Having been called to leadership from an early age, Mr. Barb has been a leader most of his life. He will share some of the adventures saying “yes” has taken him on, and reflect on the lessons learned during the journey.

We often make plans, agendas, and itineraries for our lives, sometimes rooted in hope, sometimes rooted in a desire to maintain some sense of control and predictability. But what happens when things do not go according to plan? How do we interact with the unexpected? We welcome guest speaker Rev. Ranwa Hammamy.

Rev. María Cristina Vlassidis Burgoa speaks about immigration justice and her recent trip to the Mexican border near San Diego where some fellow UU Ministers were arrested.

Mystery, Mystery, Life is a riddle and a mystery” we are invited to reflect upon the riddles and mysteries that we are facing. How does embracing the mystery of life open up paths for spiritual growth? What spiritual practices can encourage us to be present as we navigate the riddles and mysteries of life? 

 

Bob Meyerson explores how the words "sanctuary, meditation, faith, and prayer" are so subjective...especially to people of free will and free thoughts.

Come travel with us! Starr King member Joyce Kinnear has been living in Panama and will share her reflections on its history and culture, with an Introduction by Bob Meyerson.

We gather once again as a community to commemorate the Days of the Dead and honor the memory of our loved ones. We invite everyone to bring photographs and mementos of their dearly departed. There will be a special altar dedicated to our animal companions.

 

When we share our stories, we create memories and sacred space. Sharing our stories as a community invites us into deeper connection with our lived experiences and the memories we hold dear. Join us in this creative and interactive service.
